Our thoughts and words are very powerful in creating what we want to experience in our life. Repeating positive affirmations and feeling that they are true as you say them is a very powerful way to help you get aligned with what you desire.
Affirmations are simply positive statements. They affirm what you want to create. Here are examples of useful affirmations:
- I feel peaceful and calm.
- My body is healthy and becomes even more healthy every day.
- I allow myself to experience joy and happiness.
- I am wealthy beyond measure.
- I attract into my life love, wealth, and happiness.
As you create your own affirmations, make sure you only state what you want. For example, instead of saying, “I feel no fear,” say, “I feel strong and courageous.” Fear is what you do not want, so you would not write about it in your affirmation. What you want to feel is strong and courageous, so that would be your affirmation. Another tip is to write your affirmations in the present tense. Begin them with phrases like “I feel”, “I am”, and “I have.”
As you repeat your affirmation to yourself, feel the truth of what you are saying. That is the most important part. Take a moment to close your eyes and feel your affirmation in every cell of your body. If your affirmation is about having a wonderful romance, for example, feel all the feelings you would feel when you are with that special someone – the joy, the butterflies, the sense of acceptance, and feeling loved for who you truly are. Imagine how it would be going out together, receiving flowers, and having meaningful conversations. Whatever is important to you, imagine that as your new reality.
You can also post your affirmation on your vision board or write it on a note card to carry in your purse or wallet. Every time you see it it is a reminder of what you’re creating in your life.
