The following meditation is an essential part of everyone’s meditation repertoire. It is widely used with slight variations, and is great to use for the following purposes:
Daily to improve focus, increase energy, and feel more peaceful.
- Before any psychic activity.
- Anytime you feel scattered, fearful, or out-of-touch with your feelings and your body.
- As a beginning to a longer meditation or visualization exercise.
The Meditation
This meditation takes only a few minutes
- Begin with several long, deep breaths. Imagine breathing in loving, peaceful energy and breathing out any stress or ideas that are not longer useful to you. See the energy flowing in and out of your body, filling you with loving, peaceful energy.
- See yourself standing in a peaceful place and imagine roots growing from the soles of your feet deep into the ground. See these roots traveling all the way to the center of the earth. The center of the earth is beautiful, purifying, energy. See that energy traveling back up your roots and into your body. See it and feel it coming into your body, giving you energy and restoring health and vitality to every cell in your body.
- This positive energy fills your entire body and comes out of the top of your head. It travels beyond the earth, into the solar system, as far as you can imagine. This is connecting you to all the positive energy in the universe. See this energy flowing back down into your body and then surrounding you.
- See your body in a positive energy bubble – only positive thoughts can get in.
Additional Notes
There are so many ways to imagine this same basic concept. Use your imagination to create a meditation that feels great to you. The essential elements to this meditation are
- Connection to the earth (grounding energy) and the sky (ethereal energy).
- Negative energy is released and you are filled with positive energy.
- You are surrounded in a shield of positive, loving energy.
