Fairytale Pumpkin Land Extravaganza!

Hi Friends!

Mark and I went to Whole Foods the other day, and I was flabbergasted by their pumpkin display! It reminded me that fall is almost here! Yea! Yea! Yea!

These aren’t your usual pumpkins, although they did have the traditional beautiful, bright orange ones.

Gosh, this picture turned out so fabulously. I think their stems look so funny pointing in different directions. It reminds me of when someone says, “Look at that!” and everyone looks in different directions trying to figure out what the person was talking about – “Who? What? Where? There? Where?”

My mouth waters looking at this photo. Sometimes bright beautiful colors make my mouth water. They are so yummy to look at! Okay, but back to the cool pumpkins…

The big, craggy blue/gray ones remind me of brains. The one in the photo below is very bold! He says, “Hello!”

The dark pumpkins below are very dramatic. They are probably the ritzy-roo-roo pumpkins in their elaborate evening wear about to go to the opera. “Oh yes, dahhhhhhling…”

I love these white ones, too. The beige marks on them look like stitches to me, like they have had some scuffles and scrapes, but their wounds have been stitched up with love.

I love the knobby ones the best I think. Well, okay, it’s hard to pick a favorite, but I just LOVE the texture and feeling of the little bumps.

And just when you thought it couldn’t get any cooler, check out these! They look like swans and ducks to me. Mark and I saw carved gourds from an artist in Jacksonville named Mindy Hawkins. They were incredible, and she perfectly captured the personality of the gourd. She could do wonders with these!

Thank you for joining me on this fairyland tour of beautiful pumpkins!

Love,

Melanie Jade 🙂
