How to Quit Your Job

How to Quit Your Job by Melanie The Medium

Wouldn’t it be great to have a job that you love? Imagine waking up in the morning and feeling excited about the work you’ll do that day. Imagine having the hours that work best for you and your family, having the money you need, and feeling that you are using your gifts and making a difference.

Doesn’t that sound great?

This can be your reality. I’m a medium who communicates with Spirit Guides, which are like your personal angels. Every day I do readings for people who want to quit their job, and I share messages from their Spirit Guides to help make the transition easier.

Today I’m sharing four of the most common messages I hear. I hope they make it easier for you to quit your job and move on to something more joyful.

You deserve joy.

In order to quit your job, you have to believe that you deserve a career you enjoy. You don’t have to settle for being miserable. You don’t have to choose money or stability over happiness. You can have it all.

Write down the qualities of your ideal job. List the hours you want, how you’ll feel at your job, the type of workplace, and the people you work with. List everything you know about your ideal job. Even if you don’t know the exact position you want, describe what you do know. Use this list to help you clarify what you want next in your career.

Follow your inner compass.

You were born with an innate sense of direction, like an inner compass showing you the most joyful path forward. Your emotions will tell you if you’re following your inner compass. When you follow your inner compass, you feel joyful. You feel light, happy, and fulfilled. When you ignore your inner compass, you feel miserable.

If you’re unhappy in your job, your inner compass is telling you it’s time to move on. It’s telling you that there is some other place where your gifts are needed. That push from your inner compass is telling you that another direction will be easier than staying where you’re unhappy.

Trust your inner compass, and follow it. That is how you will find your joyful career.

Write your resignation letter.

Even if you don’t know what job you want to do next, write your resignation letter. Choose a date when you’ll turn it in, and put that date on the top of the letter. Keep your resignation letter where you will see it often. Use it as a reminder that your current job is coming to an end.

When you hold your resignation letter in your hands, you feel the reality of handing it in. You suddenly believe that there is something more waiting for you and that it is possible to have a job you enjoy.

When I have encouraged my clients to do this, I have heard repeatedly that this step is huge in terms of helping them feel free to move on. Within a short amount of time, they start seeing new possibilities, and it gives them a sense of hope. As soon as you are done reading this article, write your resignation letter and date it. Make the agreement with yourself that you are moving on to a better life.

Just keep going.

If a few weeks go by and you haven’t found a job yet or still don’t know what you want to do, don’t panic. You are on your way. Every day you are getting new ideas and new clarity. It’s all part of the process, so just keep going.

Remember that there are millions of conversations and interactions happening behind the scenes that you know nothing about. Someone could be writing your ideal job posting while you’re reading this article. Trust that there is more happening than you can see, and just keep going.

Success story.

On my recent Hear It From Spirit call, a client of mine called in to share his story of quitting his job. He had been absolutely miserable, so his wife contacted me for a reading on his behalf. He followed the guidance I gave him from his Spirit Guides, and he was just offered his ideal job! Here’s the audio recording of Nick sharing his story:

How Nick Quit His Job

Nick did it, many of my clients have done it, and you can do it too! You can quit your job and start spending your time doing something you actually enjoy. Follow your inner compass, write your resignation letter, and just keep going. It is in everyone’s best interest for you to be doing something you love, so the universe will support you in achieving that goal.

If you would like personal guidance to get clarity about quitting your job and knowing how to move forward, please contact me for a reading.

Sending you lots of love,

Melanie
