Hi Friends!
Have you ever waited for a guarantee before taking action? You get a great idea that fills you with joy, and you tell yourself, “As soon as I know for sure it’s going to work out, then I’ll take action.”
The truth is that you’re not going to get a guarantee. You need to take a leap of faith. You have to trust that everything will work out, one way or another.
There may be twists and turns along the way, and you may be led in a different direction. As long as you keep following the path your heart most desires, you will succeed.
Sonia Choquette says this beautifully in her book, Your Heart’s Desire. She refers to waiting for guarantees as being a control freak. Here’s a quote from the book (I especially like the last sentence):
“Being a control freak means that you want guarantees of success before you take a risk. It means you want to avoid all potential injury or disappointment before you try. It means needing to know you’ll succeed before you even begin. But above all, it means failure, because the kind of assurance the control freak wants is an earned gift, the product of courage and risk, which cannot be attained in advance.”
Forget the guarantees. Take the leap. Trust yourself and trust the Universe. You are more powerful and capable of greatness than you realize.
It’s Your Turn!
