Meditation for Healing Relationships

Hi Friends!

Is there someone in your life right now who gets on your nerves? Or maybe someone who seems so brainless and uncouth that you roll your eyes every time they have the nerve to speak in your presence? Or someone who is cruel and selfish? One of the things I’m continually working on with my Spirit Guides is feeling loving and understanding toward everyone. With the help of my Spirit Guides, I’ve healed many relationships and been able to feel loving toward people who I previously found intolerable. Today, I’m sharing a meditation that you can use to help you feel compassion, love, and understanding for the people in your life who are grating on your nerves. Whenever we feel loving toward someone else, we bring more peace into the world and into our hearts.

I treat myself and others with love and compassion


Think of someone in your life who you are having difficulty feeling loving toward. Close your eyes and take several slow, deep breaths. Focus on being in the present moment. Release your current judgments about the person. Release your past experiences with the person. Now you are ready for a new experience with this person, so allow your experiences in the past to fall away.

State your intention to see this person with love, compassion, and understanding, and ask for help. Ask for help seeing this person as a Divine, beautiful soul.

Now release and allow this new perspective to come to your awareness. Sit for several minutes, allowing this new perspective to come to you. It might come as a feeling in your body, as a memory, as a sudden feeling of peace or understanding. You might start feeling differently about their behavior, recognize when you have acted the same way, or be able to see any hurt or fear that could lead them to act the way they do. Even if you aren’t consciously aware of any change or insight, know that you have created a space in your heart for seeing this person in a new light. When you are finished, write down your experience.

Because you have stated your intention to feel loving and compassionate toward this person, be open to the idea that you will likely receive more insight in the coming days.
