I was going to title this post “Our First Hike in Guanajuato, Mexico” but then my honey Mark reminded me that we hiked La Bufa a few weeks ago, so I changed the title. This could also be called, “How Many Times Can I End a Paragraph with LOL.” LOL!
We have an amazing view of the mountains from our new home in Guanajuato, Mexico, and this week we decided to start hiking them to get a closer look at some of the landmarks we can see. One of the landmarks is a cross high up on the hill that shimmers in the sunlight. We packed our lunch and headed out.
For the first part of the hike, we only found a small trail created by the herds of cows that graze on the mountains. Yeah, we had to watch our step. Lol!
Then we found what I call a “Pathy-Path”, which is a true path, rather than the brambles we fought through before. This path was clearly marked with white paint and led us all the way to the cross at the top.
I found this great rock. I love the pattern! And that’s Mark’s hand, in case you were wondering if I have man hands. LOL. Not that there’s anything wrong with a woman having large hands.
I’m just going to be quiet now.
When we got to the top, we realized that the cross we’ve been seeing for the past several weeks is actually a memorial. I love that the family chose to honor their loved one in a way that everyone in Guanajuato can see and enjoy.
Mark and I had lunch and clowned around on the top of the mountain, and then made our way back down before the evening rain came. You can see the clouds forming behind me.
Man! Could my honey be any cuter?! Maybe if he was holding a chocolate bar for me, but that’s the only way. LOL! What a cutie pie!
This is me getting a divine message. Or rubbing my back and trying to catch my breath. You decide! LOL
I’m glad you could join me on this journey!
