Fun at the Plano Balloon Festival!

Hi Friends!

As I said in this month’s newsletter, Mark and I had a magical time at the Plano Balloon Festival!

The fun started with the ride to the festival. The City of Plano had motorcoaches available to take people to the festival from the nearby DART rail station. We decided to do that instead of bother with parking, and we’re glad we did. Our coach driver was Miss Nisha, and she was a treat! She joked with everyone as they got on the coach and entertained us with stories about her family and upcoming 50th birthday party. Every story she told was accompanied by her hearty laughter and a flip of her curly black hair with her 2 inch long neon green fingernails. She was perfect for her job and got us all in a festive, happy mood!

Once at the balloon festival, we sang along with the great band, watched children chasing each other on the sidelines, saw the balloons being inflated and taking off, and we even caught a promotional frisbee to take home (itโ€™s the little things that make a big difference sometimes, right?).

My favorite part came after sunset. The balloons lit up like giant nightlights on the field. They were beautiful!

We were all able to walk onto the field to get a close-up look at the balloons. We could hear and feel the heat from the flames. It was magical!

I knew it would be fun, but I had no idea how magical the night would be. I felt like a kid again, and it was awesome! I feel so grateful to everyone who worked to make this festival possible.

Have you ever been to an event that turned out even more amazing and magical than you expected? I’d love to hear your story in the comments below!

Sending you love and magical moments!
