Dear Melanie,
I’ve had several dreams that have come true lately. Why am I getting insight while I’m dreaming and not while I’m awake?
Sometimes it’s easier to receive messages when we’re asleep because our conscious mind (the logical, analytical part that can discount intuitive insights) is resting, and we are able to receive insights from our subconscious/intuitive mind.
Another factor is that many of us multi-task and think of a million things at once during the day. You probably receive psychic insights, but you’re busy thinking of other things, so it’s difficult to pay attention to what your intuition is telling you.
How can I work on receiving psychic insights during the day?
The quick and easy answer is to meditate. I have several guided meditations on my website, if you’d like to start there. By doing even five minutes of meditation a day, which is just taking time to do nothing, you train your mind to have quiet moments and be in the present. When your mind is quiet and present, you’ll find it easier to recognize when you receive psychic nudges.
I also recommend keeping a journal with you as you go about your day, and write down every insight or nudge you get. This reminds you that you’re getting psychic insights and affirms to yourself and the Universe that you are open to receiving more. How do you know if your psychic nudge is really a psychic nudge? Write it down if there’s any possibility, and check over it later. Was your nudge accurate? If so, how did it come to you? Notice how you got or felt the information differently when you were accurate than when you were not accurate.
Anything else I can do to develop my psychic abilities?
There are so many ways! I can help you meet your Guides and develop your abilities during a Psychic Reading. I also highly recommend the book, The Psychic Pathway, by Sonia Choquette. It’s one of my favorites, and it’s probably available at your local library. This book is a 12-week study course about being psychic and helps you develop in many different areas of psychic ability. It’s very well-written and fun to read.
Sweet dreams!
Melanie Jade 🙂
