A theme that has come up several times this week in my readings and meditations is the idea of feeling worthy to receive. It doesn’t matter what wonderful thing you want in your life, if you don’t feel worthy of receiving it, you may be energetically blocking it from coming into your life.
At the beginning of the week, Jesus visited me in my meditation. I thought, Whoa! That’s Jesus! Surely not… and I ended my meditation. The next day while meditating, I again saw a man that my soul knew as Jesus. I asked his name (because I didn’t believe he was Jesus), and he said, “Emmanuel.” I knew this was another name for Jesus. I looked up the meaning of Emmanuel, and it means “God is with us.” The third day, I saw the golden fish symbol with bright white light all around it. Jesus again. I ended my meditation.
I kept ending my meditation after seeing Jesus because it didn’t make sense that Jesus would come to me. I do not consider myself a religious person. I do not pray to Jesus, and even though I see him as a great Spiritual Teacher, I also recognize other significant Spiritual Teachers. So, each time he visited me, I dismissed it as impossible. Finally, I came to terms with the fact that he was visiting me and that he must have a message for me. I meditated again and spoke with him this time. Here’s part of our conversation:
Me: Why are you coming to me?
Jesus: Why not you?
His question brought me to the powerful realization that I didn’t think I was worthy enough to be visited by Jesus. After several moments of feeling my new awareness, I asked him…
Me: What message do you have for me?
Jesus: You are worthy. You want amazing things in your life – you have to believe you are worthy first.
I realized that my ignoring his presence in my meditations wasn’t about it not making sense. It was about me not feeling worthy to be visited by Jesus. I thought, Who am I to be visited by Jesus? This thought made me feel horrible and sad when I realized it. For the most part, I recognize that I am part of God, just as I believe we all are. I recognize that my soul is beautiful and precious, just as I recognize that everyone’s soul is beautiful and precious. But at my core, I realized through this experience that I still had some work to do on feeling worthy of great things.
I thought this was my first visit from Jesus, but when I searched through my psychic journal (which I highly recommend you keep), I realized he has visited me on many occasions. Almost every written entry about meeting him included a feeling of disbelief that he would come to speak to me. Since talking with him this week, I’ve wondered what other things or great experiences in my life I presently feel unworthy to receive. If we feel unworthy of receiving, it doesn’t matter how many affirmations we say or how much we want it, we will energetically block it from coming into our lives, just like I blocked messages from Jesus by quickly ending my meditation, day after day.
If you wonder if you are feeling worthy to receive all the amazing experiences you want in your life, I invite you to do this meditation:
Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Become focused on the idea that you are worthy to receive. Notice how that idea feels in your body. Now imagine and feel that which you desire coming to you right now. Observe how you feel as what you desire comes closer and closer to you. What feelings or emotions arise? Do you feel open to receiving it? Ask your Guides to make you aware if you have any blocks or feelings of unworthiness regarding receiving what you desire. Release those blocks by imagining them dissolving away. As you focus on what you desire coming to you, repeat to yourself, “I am worthy of receiving this.” Feel your gratitude for receiving what you desire in your life. When you are ready, open your eyes.
You are worthy of all great things in your life. You are worthy of happiness. You are worthy of love. You are worthy of joy. You are worthy of great wealth. You are worthy of everything you desire in your life.
